Wednesday Bible Study – 7:00 PM
Our Worship is Simple and Devout
Our services are conducted in a reverent manner and in a worshipful atmosphere. They are designed to draw the worshippers closer to God and to provide enduring spiritual strength.
You can expect to find a group of Christians gathered to worship God in the same manner as did the Apostles and other Christians in the New Testament times. You can expect to see us worship God through prayers, congregational singing, and a sermon, Christ centered and designed to teach and uplift all who are present. Our only purpose is to meet man’s spiritual needs.
We provide Bible classes for all ages from preschool to adult ages during our Bible Study periods. Our Bible classes are designed to increase the Bible knowledge of all, both young and old. We invite you to attend our services and leave your purse at home, we will not ask you to give one cent during our services. The Church of Christ is financially supported by its members’ freewill offering on the first day of the week as God has prospered them (1 Corinthians 16:1-2), we ask financial help from no one else.
We partake of the Lord’s Supper every first day of the week in remembrance of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ (Acts 20:7). We believe it is important to
remember the great sacrifice our Savior made for mankind.
A Special Word Concerning Our Singing
Our singing, which is without instrumental accompaniment, and to many visitors is the most inspirational part of our worship, deserves a special word. This unusual feature of our services is not a matter of human preference, but an earnest desire to please God by respecting His choices in all things. Since God has designated singing as the type of music He desires as worship in the church (Ephesians 5:19 and Colossians 3:16), we are happy to comply with His choice. The entire congregation will engage in singing spiritual and understandable songs with simple melodies as they are led by one of the brethren. You will probably be familiar with most hymns and are invited to join with us in singing praises to God.
